Sonar Magazine

At CEMarin we are pleased to share with you our magazine of scientific dissemination Sonar, named after the well-known tool used by dolphins, whales and other animals to navigate, communicate, and map the underwater world.

We expect this publication to be a tool for a better knowledge and understanding of the current situation of the marine-coastal ecosystems of Colombia and beyond. Each issue includes contributions from CEMarin researchers and national and international experts who share their knowledge and experiences related to the central theme, as well as reports on ongoing research projects supported by CEMarin and updates on our activities.

Sustainable Development Goals

Life Below Water

Since 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement have been pillars of global governance and are part of the framework that guides human actions in order to balance their environmental, social and economic dimensions. The ocean is key to these efforts as it covers more than 70% of the planet’s surface and provides essential services that support life as we know it.

How far have we come in achieving SDG 14?
