First results from the Colombian ocean energy network.

Within the framework of our strategic research objectives, several of our CEMarin Researchers and Early Stage Researchers have in recent months created a new inter-institutional research network dedicated to the study of oceanic energy in Colombia.

Colombian ocean energy network

This network brings together researchers from the most important universities for marine sciences in Colombia, such as the Universidad Nacional de Colombia Medellín campus, the Universidad del Valle, the Universidad del Norte, the Universidad de la Costa, the Universidad de Antioquia, the Universidad Nacional de Colombia Bogotá campus, the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia and the University of Medellín. Its main objective is to present energy as an oceanic resource, in addition to explaining the behavior of ocean energy and how it can be used for the economic, environmental and social benefit of the country through the use of waves, winds or solar radiation.
