A transparent ocean with open access to data in the marine sciences is an objective of the Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development. Sonar Issue 2 considers tendencies in Open and FAIR Data in Colombia and worldwide, in order to better use, coordinate and integrate knowledge and models into decision-making processes and ensure the best possible future for the oceans.
